Storm reign again

STORM Taekwondo Club regained their status as overall champions, dethroning 2016 winners RSB Perak, in the Nestle Koko Krunch Junior Taekwondo Championsh­ip — Northern Region at the Dewan Millenium in Kepala Batas recently .

Storm collected seven gold, three silver and six bronze with RSB a close second with six gold, four silver and two bronze in the championsh­ip which saw 542 exponents from 18 clubs from Perlis, Kedah, Perak and Penang doing battle.

Storm emerged overall winners in the boys’ categories as well with four gold, one silver and four bronze. Their girls emerged second in the girls category with three gold, two silver and two bronze.

Ipoh-based RSB were the girls’ overall winners with four gold, three silver and three bronze. KMTA Club were third with two gold and two bronze.

The medallists from the four regional championsh­ips will converge in Kuala Lumpur for the Grand Final tomorrow. K. Kandiah
