The mane attraction
KATY Perry was a stunning vision in red as she arrived at the Met Gala. The singer, 32, was a co-chair of the star-studded event.
And the newly buzz cut blonde star lived up to her reputation for loving bold fashion. Perry stood out from the crowd in a stunning red tulle and silk chiffon gown with a mix of brocade, satin ribbon and semi sheer panels. The exotic look was a custom Margiela Artisinal ensemble by John Galliano and featured an embroidered top, a face veil and a chrome headpiece.
The veil was embroidered and the gauzy material from the headdress trailed behind her as she walked along with the gown’s train. The Roar star added nail art and three giant diamond rings and a pair of red Tabi boots. THEY’RE known for raising the bar when it comes to the fashion stakes, and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen did just that.
Dressed in complimentary boho ensembles, the stonyfaced twins, 30, pouted their way through a series of photos as they posed on the cream and blue carpet together.
The duo opted for Edwardian-inspired frocks that looked taken out of the early 1900s with their understated lace designs.
Mary-Kate opted for a cut-out cream lace creation for the famed gala. Her high-neck dress featured a small train. The former child star layered brown beads on top of her outfit and wore cream tribal inspired drop earrings. She also appeared to have been wearing a braided hair piece with coin pendants.
Meanwhile, Ashley opted for a similarly styled ensemble, wearing a long lace gown of her own. The petite fashion designer also wore a detailed patterned black bolero. The intricate jacket featured embroidery, sheer panelling and brown and green fur trim. Mary-Kate (left) and Ashley Olsen dressed in complimentary boho ensembles.
