TM ap­points 2 ‘home­grown tal­ents’ to key po­si­tions

KUALA LUMPUR: Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) has ap­pointed Nor Fad­hi­lah Mohd Ali as its group chief fi­nan­cial of­fi­cer (CFO) and Datuk Kairul An­nuar Mo­hamed Zam Zam as its chief strat­egy of­fi­cer, with ef­fect from May 15.

Group chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer (CEO) Datuk Sri Mo­hammed Shaz­a­lli Ramly said the key ap­point­ments un­der the new TM lead­er­ship were part of the com­pany’s trans­for­ma­tion jour­ney as Malaysia’s con­ver­gence cham­pion, build­ing on the strong foun­da­tion es­tab­lished by for­mer group CEO Tan Sri Zamza­mzairani Mohd Isa.

“All these ap­point­ments are in­ter­nal home­grown tal­ents iden­ti­fied in our lead­er­ship suc­ces­sion plan. This is in line with TM be­com­ing a more agile or­gan­i­sa­tion, re­spond­ing to busi­ness and mar­ket needs,” he said.

Nor Fad­hi­lah, who will be the first woman group CFO of the com­pany, is cur­rently the fi­nan­cial con­troller, a post she has held since Au­gust 16 2015.

Prior to that, Nor Fad­hi­lah was the gen­eral man­ager of fi­nan­cial ad­vi­sory and busi­ness de­vel­op­ment in group strat­egy.

She started her ca­reer with TM as an as­sis­tant ac­coun­tant on Au­gust 2 1993.

Nor Fad­hi­lah holds a Bach­e­lor of Ac­count­ing from the In­ter­na­tional Is­lamic Univer­sity Malaysia and is a grad­u­ate of the In­sti­tute of Char­tered Sec­re­taries and Ad­min­is­tra­tors.

Kairul will be re­lin­quish­ing his cur­rent po­si­tion as ex­ec­u­tive vice-pres­i­dent of TM govern­ment and chair­man of Man­aged Ac­counts Coun­cil.

He has more than 30 years of ex­pe­ri­ence in the telecom­mu­ni­ca­tions in­dus­try, where he started his ca­reer as an en­gi­neer in TM in 1985.

He holds a Bach­e­lor in En­gi­neer­ing Sci­ence from the Univer­sity of Western On­tario, Canada and a Masters in Busi­ness Ad­min­is­tra­tion from Mul­ti­me­dia Univer­sity, Cy­ber­jaya.
