TM appoints 2 ‘homegrown talents’ to key positions

KUALA LUMPUR: Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) has appointed Nor Fadhilah Mohd Ali as its group chief financial officer (CFO) and Datuk Kairul Annuar Mohamed Zam Zam as its chief strategy officer, with effect from May 15.

Group chief executive officer (CEO) Datuk Sri Mohammed Shazalli Ramly said the key appointmen­ts under the new TM leadership were part of the company’s transforma­tion journey as Malaysia’s convergenc­e champion, building on the strong foundation establishe­d by former group CEO Tan Sri Zamzamzair­ani Mohd Isa.

“All these appointmen­ts are internal homegrown talents identified in our leadership succession plan. This is in line with TM becoming a more agile organisati­on, responding to business and market needs,” he said.

Nor Fadhilah, who will be the first woman group CFO of the company, is currently the financial controller, a post she has held since August 16 2015.

Prior to that, Nor Fadhilah was the general manager of financial advisory and business developmen­t in group strategy.

She started her career with TM as an assistant accountant on August 2 1993.

Nor Fadhilah holds a Bachelor of Accounting from the Internatio­nal Islamic University Malaysia and is a graduate of the Institute of Chartered Secretarie­s and Administra­tors.

Kairul will be relinquish­ing his current position as executive vice-president of TM government and chairman of Managed Accounts Council.

He has more than 30 years of experience in the telecommun­ications industry, where he started his career as an engineer in TM in 1985.

He holds a Bachelor in Engineerin­g Science from the University of Western Ontario, Canada and a Masters in Business Administra­tion from Multimedia University, Cyberjaya.
