Varsities key in corporate sector success

Malaysian Business Sentiment Survey 2016/ 2017 revealed the importance of universities nurturing talent that will enable firms to enhance their innovative capacity, process improvement and product development.

The chief executive officers and senior managers who took part in the survey viewed that Malaysian universities play an important role in enhancing corporate sector wealth creation opportunities.

However, they believe the top three primary focus areas of universities should be to enhance graduate employability (63 per cent), ensure the research and development initiatives meet the needs of industry (61 per cent) and develop training programmes that are relevant and beneficial to the industry (59 pre cent).
