SOME traders are selling Thailand’s tom dam mangoes at RM30 per kg, claiming that they are Perlis’s popular harumanis. The price is six times higher than the RM5 per kg sold in Padang Besar.

The state Agriculture Department is concerned that this might tarnish the good name of Perlis, the only state that produces the exotic mangoes.

Its chief, Zulkifli Amin Mat Jusoh, said traders had been found to dupe customers
