ONE of the best perks of being a PS Plus subscriber is having a list of free games given to you every month. Sony Interactive Entertainment will select a list of games ranging from indie to AAA games for PS Plus subscribers to enjoy.

Here’s the official free games line-up for PS Plus Asia May 2017. 3. ABZU

Abzu is an adventure game by Giant

Squid Studios. The player takes on the role of a Diver in a vast ocean after waking up floating on the ocean’s surface. He begins exploring the surrounding underwater environments filled with plant and animal life, in addition to uncovering ancient technology and submerged ruins.

As the game progresses, the Diver unlocks new areas and pursues the secrets behind the forces harming the local environment.

He will be going through a linear adventure path with multiple interconnected areas that will see even more marine life and puzzles to interact with.

Fun fact: Abzu’s concept came from the game Journey. Game artist Matt Nava worked on Journey’s desert setting and wanted a more vibrant and populated setting for the next game. He then suggested having an ocean concept due to his love for it when he explored it through his hobby of scuba diving. And thus, Abzu was born.
