Un­der­grad­u­ate stu­dents from Mas­sachusetts In­sti­tute of Tech­nol­ogy’s Depart­ment of Me­chan­i­cal En­gi­neer­ing com­pet­ing in the an­nual 2.007

Star Wars-themed robot com­pe­ti­tion in Cam­bridge, Mas­sachusetts, US, last week. The com­pe­ti­tion fea­tured a 3D model X-Wing with a 3.35m wing­span and four jet en­gines. The stu­dents’ ro­bots are chal­lenged to move to the en­gines and spin them. The 2.007 Robot Com­pe­ti­tion was started more than 40 years ago by MIT pro­fes­sor emer­i­tus Woodie Flow­ers.
