Zulfahmi still riding on hope

-

ZULFAHMI Khairuddin is staying optimistic despite a third DNF (did not finish) in Imola, Italy

The Orelac Racing VerdNatura rider has only six-points to show for after fiveraces.

“We have to put this all behind us and come back fighting, that is my aim.”

Last weekend was filled with trials and tribulations for Zulfahmi who was forced to watch the final race from the garage as his Kawasaki bike suffered mechanical issues.

Team manager Giulio Bardi said: “We are not sure what went wrong with Zulfahmi’s bike, but we’ll find out when we get back to our workshop.”

With only seven rounds left, former Moto3 rider Zulfahmi will still aim to finish the season in the top five, as he hopes to make his way back into the MotoGP arena.

The 25-year-old, who suffered from a mild case of arm pump, or Chronic Exertional Compartment Syndrome (CECS) two weeks ago, will compete in round six on May 26-28 in the United Kingdom.
