MSU alumna awarded for achievement
MANAGEMENT & Science University (MSU) pharmacy alumna Preejashini John Jayaraj has been awarded the Malaysian Pharmaceutical Society-Chemical Company of Malaysia Bhd (MPS-CCM) 2016 Gold Medal Award for her outstanding achievement in academic and extra-curricular performance.
Chemical Company of Malaysia (CCM) is one of the largest generic pharmaceutical manufacturers in Malaysia. It is a key player in the fertilisers, chemicals and pharmaceuticals industries.
The presentation of the award was organised in conjunction with the 50th Malaysian Pharmaceutical Society (MPS) Anniversary Dinner in Kuala Lumpur.
The award is presented annually to top final year students completing the pharmaceutical programme at local public and private universities. Recipients are awarded the MPS-CCM Gold Medal, a certificate and RM500.
“It is gratifying to be recognised by the industry and this award means a lot to me. The recognition is invaluable and will motivate me to work harder,” said Preejashini, who is working as a pharmacist at Temenggong Seri Maharaja Tun Ibrahim Hospital in Kulai, Johor.
“MSU has played a major role in moulding me to become the person I am today. My journey in MSU taught me a lot, especially in building my character, leadership qualities and soft skills. I was also involved in many extra-curricular activities,” she said.
“I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to my parents, family, lecturers and friends for their continuous encouragement.”
