In gear­ing up for the Ra­madan month, its culi­nary team, lead by Ex­ec­u­tive Sous Chef Alias has been busy pre­par­ing a list of sump­tu­ous dishes for the buf­fet.

The pre­pared list fea­tures tan­ta­lis­ing pop­u­lar lo­cal Malaysian dishes.

This year’s theme was cre­ated to pro­mote a host of pop­u­lar Malay and Malaysian dishes in­clud­ing favourite fam­ily recipes of our grand­par­ents and par­ents, as well as recipes from our vil­lages.

Also in the line-up are the pop­u­lar “hawker” style recipes as well as those from var­i­ous states of Malaysia.

The high­lights of the buf­fet are the live cook­ing sta­tions and hawker stalls with dif­fer­ent pop­u­lar lo­cal dishes, seafood on ice, live grill and bar­be­cue items among oth­ers.

To add for more sump­tu­ous va­ri­eties on the buf­fet, the ho­tel has in­vited Guest Chef Am­mar to show­case his sig­na­ture Ara­bic and Le­banese dishes.

The items pre­pared by Chef Am­mar will add a touch of Mid­dle Eastern flavours to the lo­cal spread.

Chef Am­mar, an ex­pert in Ara­bic and Le­banese cuisines will be lin­ing up a se­ries of his sig­na­ture dishes for the buf­fet.

In­ter­est­ing high­lights are Chef Am­mar’s spe­cial­ties at the ac­tion stalls which in­clude Roasted Spicy Whole Lamb with Mandi Rice and Cream Mint, Roasted Spicy Whole Lamb with Kab­sah Spice Cream Sauce, Roasted Spicy Whole Lamb with Herbal Rice, and a range of salad and cold ap­pe­tis­ers; Hum­mus Beiruty and dessert such as an as­sort­ment of mixed Baklava and rice pud­dings.

For guests who wish to per­form their Maghrib, Isyak and Tarawih prayers, sep­a­rate male and fe­male prayer rooms are also avail­able.

The Ra­madan buf­fet din­ner is avail­able be­tween 6.30pm and 10.30pm. It is priced at RM125nett per adult and RM60nett for chil­dren aged 11 years old and be­low.

It is avail­able from May 29 to June 23.

The ho­tel also has De­grees Restau­rant, an all-day din­ing restau­rant lo­cated on the Grand Lobby at Sa­maSama Ho­tel KL In­ter­na­tional Air­port.
