CONSUMERS’ safety is the top priority when it comes to selling dates during Ramadan, a dealer said. A manager at Mahnaz Food in a shopping complex here said they would ensure only quality dates were sold.

The manager, who identified herself only as Faezah, said the store imported dates from only credible distributors.

“This is to ensure that the products we sell are of top quality and safe for consumption.”

She said customers could sample the dates to make sure they were happy with the quality.

“On top of that, we allow our customers to return the goods if they are spoilt.”
