Sabah DAP deputy chairman suspended 3 months

-

DAP has suspended Kapayan assemblyman Dr Edwin Bosi for three months, effective yesterday.

The party disciplinary committee signed the suspension letter following a complaint from the state DAP committee alleging that Dr Edwin had tarnished the image of the party by making negative statements to the media.

Among the statements that the state DAP deputy chairman had made included threatening to quit the party if he was not fielded for 14th General Election and questioning the credibility of the party’s state chief, Stephen Wong.

However, Dr Edwin said he was informed about the suspension through WhatsApp and had yet to receive the letter. He was given 14 days to appeal the suspension.

Sabah DAP has described its suspended deputy chairman as a person who had damaged the image of the party.

Wong said Dr Edwin should not have issued public statements on his grouses with the party.

“By right, Dr Edwin or any member is not supposed to give statements to the media.

“Even if he does not like me, Dr Edwin should have talked about it internally,” he said when contacted about the suspension which took effect on Monday.
