Man sorry wife threw sandals

-

ALOR STAR: A video of a couple lashing out at another driver following a dispute over parking space in Langkawi has gone viral on social media since it was uploaded on Wednesday evening.

In the 41-second video, the couple was seen shouting at the female driver as she recorded the incident with her mobile phone.

Besides lashing out, the woman also showed the driver her middle finger before throwing sandals at the driver’s car.

As the driver was leaving the scene, the couple, now joined by their relatives, once again lashed out at the driver and hit her car.

The driver who uploaded the video claimed that she arrived first at the parking lot near a Ramadan bazaar in Kuah and was waiting for another car to leave.

She claimed that she had signalled that she was about to enter the parking lot when the couple’s car suddenly overtook her and took the spot.

The woman then honked at the car, but instead of making way, the couple had berated the woman and hit her car.

The video, which was shared more than 11,000 times, drew many reactions from Netizens.

The man in the video has apologised over the incident.

Muhammad Jefry Sudin, 33, said he did not expect his wife, Siti Khadijah Awang, 28, to say vulgar worlds and throw her sandals at the car.

He claimed that his wife had reacted that way after being provoked by the female driver.

“We were driving behind her car. She actually drove past and missed the parking spot.

“She claimed that it was her spot and honked and provoked us with harsh words.”

It was learnt that the female driver lodged a police report over the damage to her car, but Langkawi police chief Superintendent Dr Che Ghazali Che Awang could not be reached for comment.
