SINGAPORE-based leading precision parts manufacturer Beyonics International Pte Ltd plans to invest another US$3 million (RM12.87 million) to build a new facility for its metal stamping operation, which will be located next to the company’s existing facility at the i-Park Industrial Park in Bandar Indahpura, here.

“With the additional investment, we have invested a total of US$17 million to develop our manufacturing facility, here. With another facility in Kota Tinggi, Beyonics’ investment in Johor has totalled US$20 million,” said chief executive officer Scott D. Smith.

He was speaking to the media at the launch of Beyonics’ new precision plastic moulding facility at i-Park by Iskandar Regional Development Regional Authority (Irda) chief executive Datuk Ismail Ibrahim.

With the new metal stamping facility, which is expected to be completed in August or September this year, the company would be able to establish the facility at i-Park as a mega facility where Beyonics would be able to showcase all its core capabilities.

Beyonics manufactures precision-engineered components like plastic injection moulding, aluminium die-casting, precision machining, and metal stamping as well as offers full turnkey electronics sub-assembly and complete product manufacturing.

It serves the automotive, medical, industrial and high-end consumer products sectors.

Smith does not anticipate any slowdown in the demand for its products for this year.

He said Beyonics would continue to focus on the four main segments instead of expanding into other segments.
