KUALA LUMPUR: Dubai-based real estate and investment firm IQI Group is acquiring 33,000 sq ft of office space in Millerz Square@Old Klang Road (OKR) — a project by Exsim Group — for RM30 million, to serve as its Asia Pacific command centre.

IQI Group chief executive officer (CEO) Kashif Ansari said the command centre will serve as IQI’s first 24/7 working space and café, where its team can host meetings, collaborate and relax.

“Being market leaders, we believe it is our duty to build the best culture and environment for developing and rewarding our sales agents, who are the lifeblood of the industry.

“IQI believes our agents deserve the best of the best, and so our agents deserve a nurturing, inspiring space that allows them to flourish and reach new heights.

“By continuing to energise our team, IQI will represent the new face of the real estate industry,” he said at the signing ceremony, here, yesterday.

IQI’s unit MyKey Global Sdn Bhd also signed another deal with Exsim Group to operate 300 units of Expressionz Professional Suites, offering a luxury experience to all its short-term guests.

Under the agreement, MyKey will add 500 suites to its inventory, positioning itself to be an innovative leader in short-term serviced accommodations.

MyKey Global CEO Dave Chong said compared with the longterm leasing systems, the shortterm serviced accommodation can double the higher rental yield from the market rate of four per cent.

Chong said the hospitality scene has evolved from simply satisfying guests’ need for a luxurious accommodation experience to the need for lifestyle improvement and more unique experiences.

“The growth of tourism and foreign direct investment in Malaysia, the demand for luxurious yet affordable accommodation is growing year by year.

“MyKey is here to help investors get in on new trends ahead of the competition,” he said. Syahira Azizi and Farah Adilla
