Le Lumiere unveils first diamond pen collection

-

KUALA LUMPUR: Jeweller Le Lumiere has introduced the first Visconti le Lumiere diamond pen collection in Malaysia, priced at between RM2,200 and RM4,000 each.

The exclusive pen collection, co-created by the Visconti and Le Lumiere brands, had its Malaysian debut yesterday at its flagship store at the Gardens Mall, here.

A Le Lumiere 0.15 carat with VS clarity diamond rests on the cap of the pen in these editions, which also comes with a two-year international warranty for mechanical defects and a certificate of authenticity for the diamond.

Its associate director, Joel Santiago, said under the collection, there were 21 limited edition designs as well as 13 regular editions, designed in unique and different themes, providing an exclusive look to each.

“The pens are also available for order to customers who wish to own unique pens.

“The pens are not just pens. They each come with a story and history, coupled with unique designs tailored to the specific theme they carry.

“We are constantly expanding our target markets. We have target markets in China, India, the United States and Japan. What is interesting to find is that in these four markets, almost 50 per cent of sales came from Gen-Y, or millennials.

“They dominate the market with their high disposable incomes.”

Santiago said it was surprising to see that the buyer market has shifted to the younger generation-Y, who comprise 50 per cent of its customers.

“We will definitely look into newer designs that cater to the younger market,” he added.

Among the design themes include “Pininfarina”, “Al-Aqsa”, “Mecca & Medina”, “Wall Street”, “Van Gogh”, “Rembrandt”, “Homo Sapiens”, “The Dragon”, “Declaration of Independence 1776”, “The Bible”, “Opera Thyphoon” and “The Twelve Tribes”.

The pen collection won awards for its watermark collection, and also won awards for its “Salavdor Dali”, “Pininfarina” as well as “Divina Royale” designs in 2014 and 2015.
