Soon-to-be mother Ezzaty reveals her newly found phobias
ACTRESS Ezzaty Abdullah is expecting her first child with fellow actor Azwan Kombos in December.
But the 27-year-old confessed that she has become a “scaredycat” with lots of phobias.
“As a kid I was adventurous. I enjoyed camping and hiking, and went bungee jumping with my siblings in Gold Coast, Australia!” she said at Kaio photography studio in Section 13, Shah Alam, Selangor, recently.
“But, now I’m afraid of heights, and can’t board a flight to visit my husband’s family in Kota Belud, Sabah.
“Worse still, I’ve developed an allergy to fragrant soaps — each time I smell one, I become dizzy and end up running to the nearest sink!”
When it comes to breaking fast, Ezzaty said she had to skip fasting on alternate days as a result of her pregnancy.
“When I break fast on a certain day, I puke, and this means I have to take a break the next day to get some nutrition back for the baby.
“It’s annoying, but Azwan consoles me, saying that we all have to face challenges at times.”
Having acted in television dramas, such as TV3’s Hello Mr Perfect and Astro Prima’s Uda Dan Dara, the Bentong-born actress is set to appear in Jason Chong’s tear-jerker Kau Takdirku in September.
“I’m acting in the Megat Extend series on Astro Warna, which is about college students who live in the house of their senior who refuses to leave campus life,” said Ezzaty, known for films like Chowrasta (2015) and Anak Mami Nasi Kandaq (2016).
After Hari Raya Aidilfitri, which will be spent with her family in Kuala Lumpur, Ezzaty will star in TV3’s telemovie Pengemis Itu Saudaraku.
“I’ll also be in the film, Kalla, and my pregnancy will come in handy, since I’ll be Saharul Ridzwan’s six months pregnant wife.
“It will be my last film before I rest to await my baby’s arrival,” she said. By Dennis Chua
