PLUS gives toll rebates for 6 days

CLASS-ONE vehicle motorists using PLUS’ expressways will enjoy toll rebates of up to 30 per cent during Hari Raya Adilfitri.

The promotion is available for journeys of more than 100km on expressways under the PLUS network for six days: June 19, 20, 21, 28, 29 and July 3.

Its managing director, Datuk Azman Ismail, said the rebates were for transactions made through PLUSMiles card.

“A rebate of 10 per cent will be given to other electronic transactions, including users of the Touch ’n Go card on the days mentioned.”

On the dates involved, Azman said the public would still need to pay the usual rates, but the 30 per cent and 10 per cent rebates would be credited to their Touch ‘n Go or PLUSMiles card when customers reloaded between July 15 and Oct 17 at PLUS expressway customer service centres.

The rebate, however, will not cover transactions made at the Tanjung Kupang, Bukit Kayu Hitam, Bangunan Sultan Iskandar and Penang Bridge toll plazas.

From June 22 to July 2, PLUS will close 134 top-up lanes at its toll plazas.

“This is to reduce reducing congestion caused by commuters queuing up at the top-up lanes as the traffic flow is expected to increase by 21 per cent compared with normal days.”

Motorists can top up their cards at 9,200 other top-up locations.

PLUS customer service centres are open daily from 7am until 10pm, including weekends and public holidays
