Celebrated Persian filmmaker Asghar Farhadi churns out a thought-provoking film with
This 2016 Iranian film, presented by GSC International Screens, also tackles social and class issues, like Farhadi’s other works.
His previous film, (2011), won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 2012.
The film, which chronicled the effects a girl experiences after her parents separate, became the first Iranian feature to win the prestigious award.
As with is also directed, written and produced by Farhadi. It stars Taraneh Alidoosti and Shahab Hosseini, who play a married couple.

The wife, Rana, goes missing one day and returns later revealing that she has been assaulted by an unknown man. Her husband, Emad, then takes it upon himself to look for and uncover the identity of the attacker.

Academy Award win for Best Foreign Language Film.
Farhadi chose Miller’s play as his story within a story based on shared themes. The 125-minute film, which was shot in Tehran in 2015, features dialogue in Farsi with English subtitles.
