Registration for run extended
THE closing date for the Sea Games 2017 run, a public event organised on the same dayy as the 42km marath on event in Putrajaya on n August 19, has been extended to July 25.
“Participants stand to win attractive lucky draw prizes in conjunction with the run including flight tickets and accommodation to Gold Coast, Aus s- tralia,” said Sea Games Organising Committee (MASOC) chief executive officer Datuk Seri Zolkples Embong yesterday.
The non-competitive event, comprising the men’s and wom- en’s 15m runs, is the first of its kind and will start at Putrajaya Corporation in Presint 3.
“Upon advice from authorities, we have changed the route for the 15km run in a move to avoid traffic congestion areas in Putrajaya. The 15km course is now set on a scenic and shady route with less traffic along the opening 10 kilometres,” he added.
Aside from the 15km open categories, there will also be a 5km fun run.
Participants will receive t-shirts, a oneday personal accident i nsurance, goodie bags, commemorative medals and certificates.
