I’m an army veteran, and I enjoy our country’s continued peace

-

IAM an army veteran, who loves peace and security, like other citizens. I have experienced life after World War 2, the Emergency of 12 years, the Confrontation of 1963 to 1966 and the May 13, 1969, racial clashes.

Since then, I have enjoyed the peace and security in the country. However, there are many young people who take this peace for granted without realising what their elders had gone through to ensure this security.

Because of this peace and security, people can build families, get an education, enjoy sports and hobbies, own houses and can travel.

So, do not lose this happiness. Support a strong government to ensure this continued peace and security for our children.

To the educated and wealthy, you have contributed to our peace and progress as a nation, and your continued contribution is expected to ensure a lasting peace.

For women of all races and religions, I’m certain you want maintain the peace and progress for future generations.

To enjoy a happy life, we need a strong administration.

To athletes, fight like soldiers to keep our flag flying at every event.

Our harmonious existence is the reward for tolerance, mutual respect and acceptance of each other.

I’m sure Malaysians will not be carried away with promises of a rosy future, forgetting the good life we have enjoyed.
