Actor tries to force cameraman to delete photo
SEREMBAN: A real life drama unfolded at the magistrate’s court here yesterday when actor Adiputra lost his cool and went after New Straits Times freelance photographer Adzlan Sidek who had taken pictures of the actor arriving at the court.
The actor, whose real name is Mohamed Hadi Putera Halim, 36, was attending a court case involving his former second wife, Norshahida Zolkifly.
“Why do you take my picture? Either you let me delete it or I will make a report,” he was heard saying as he tried to grab Adzlan’s camera, before he was stopped by a journalist.
The Singapore-born actor went on to explain about the country’s laws before he appeared composed minutes later and shared information on his new acting project on Akasia slot on TV3.
Meanwhile, Norshahida, 34, pleaded not guilty yesterday to violating the terms of a person under police supervision.
She made the plea after the charge was read to her by a court interpreter before magistrate Nurulfitriza Abd Latif.
According to the charge sheet, she had violated the police supervision order by leaving Nilai town without permission on July 6 at 3pm, to a hotel and residences in Kuala Lumpur.
Norshahida was charged under Section 15 (4) of the Crime Prevention Act 1959.
Counsel Haresh Mahadevan and Ramzani Idris said the accused was a single mother with a 4-year-old son and had lost her job as an enforcement officer with the Immigration Department.
Nurulfitriza set bail at RM5,000 with one surety and ordered the accused to heed the supervision order. She fixed re-mention on Aug 14. Deputy public prosecutor Soo Kok Weng prosecuted.
