Worldclass education at UTM
THE UTM-International Degree Programme (UTM-IDP) is a premium degree programme offered by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) for Malaysians and international students.
This programme provides students the opportunity to experience a world-class teaching and learning process, as well as gain new experience by going abroad through the Global Outreach Programme, which is embedded in the degree programme.
As a leading innovation-driven, entrepreneurial research university in engineering, science and technology, UTM provides quality academic staff, facilities and a conducive environment that would facilitate students to come up with innovative ideas in developing new technology.
Students will also be involved in co-curricular activities that would groom their soft skills like leadership, teamwork, communications and professional ethics.
Prospective students will be able to choose programmes according to their qualifications. Applicants can also apply directly without going through UPU. UTM-IDP also offers competitive fees compared with other institutions. The first intake for this programme will commence in September for Semester 1, Session 2017/2018 together with the rest of UTM programmes . All classes will be conducted in English.

The entry requirements for the bachelors programmes for Malaysian students are either STPM, Matriculation, Diploma or Foundation programme from private institutions such as ALevels, IB, Ausmat and others, while for International students they must possess either a Senior High School/ Senior Secondary School or other equivalent pre-university examination; or A-Levels/ Diploma in a related field or certificates recognised by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency.
Students must also pass the Malaysian University English Test exam with a minimum Band 2.
At UTM, students will gain access to support services and facilities that would assist them.
