Neymar and Semedo put bust-up behind them

-

MADRID: Neymar appeared to bury the hatchet with Barcelona teammate Nelson Semedo as the pair were filmed hugging it out following their victory over Real Madrid on Saturday.

The Brazilian had made headlines the world over on Friday after storming out of training following a physical confrontation with Semedo.

With a £196 million (RM1.1 billion) move to Paris Saint-Germain in the offing, it may have proved to be the last thing Neymar did at the club, but he returned a day later to put in a brilliant performance in a 3-2 Clasico win in Miami.

Having set up two goals, Semedo was one of the first Barcelona players to come and congratulate him on what is likely to be his last appearance for the club and Neymar was open to the extension of an olive branch.

Their training-ground bust-up has acted as a sideshow to Neymar ’s world-record transfer to PSG, which could be completed by the end of the week if the French outfit agree a payment package with Barcelona.

The Brazil international is currently in China fulfilling promotional duties for both the club and his personal obligations but is expected to fly to Doha, Qatar, where he should ratify personal terms with the PSG owners.

At the moment, Barcelona are demanding that Neymar deposits the full €222 million with La Liga to officially activate his release clause but PSG are not keen to pay the full amount up front as it will incur additional tax costs.

Instead, PSG want to negotiate a more traditional transfer deal and are even willing to offer former Real Madrid and Manchester United winger Angel di Maria in exchange on top of the full fee, albeit in the form of instalments.
