Vida and LV to collaborate?
KUALA LUMPUR: She is known to have a penchant for arm candies: the more bling they have, the better.
It was recently reported that cosmetics millionaire Datuk Seri Dr Hasmiza Othman, also known Vida, said she would come out with her own handbag line soon, which will be a collaboration with French luxury label Louis Vuitton (LV).
“I want to come out with a limited edition handbag, but it will be named after me. Perhaps it can be called DSV LV.”
She said she had been building a good relationship with the boutique in Paris, France, adding that she had approached the label’s representatives there on her intention.
“I am confident that this collaboration will be realised in the near future.”
If the deal becomes a reality, it would place the founder of Qu Puteh in the same pool as other famous international artists who had teamed up with LV.
They include American artist Jeff Koons, the late American designer and artist Stephen Sprouse, Japanese artist and writer Yayoi Kusama and contemporary artist Takashi Murakami.
Recently, LV partnered with New York-based skateboarding and clothing brand Supreme to come up with a limited edition collection.
Vida said her limited edition collection would only be available in the Southeast Asian market.
“I’m seeking those who have suggestions or design ideas on what my collection should include so that I can present them in Paris.”
Vida is an entrepreneur who recently turned singer when she released her debut single IAmMe.
