THE Management & Science University (MSU) concluded its orientation week recently with the oath-taking of about 2,000 new undergraduates. Founder and president Professor Tan Sri Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid opened the event as junior MSUrians of the 2017/2018 academic session pledged responsibility and unity in honouring their mandate for learning and discovery.

The junior MSUrians were led by Bachelor in Human Capital Management student Muhammad Harris Muhammad Kamil before MSU’s senior management and faculty members.

In his address, Shukri reminded undergraduates to make full use of their opportunity to pursue higher education by excelling in their chosen fields and equipping themselves with personal self-development on attitude, behaviour, thinking and creativity.

He hoped that the Orientation Week would be beneficial for all students to understand each other better and begin a fruitful university life.

He also encouraged them to learn the lessons of experience and to develop themselves into global citizens through the MSU Global Mobility (GMP), Global Leadership (GLP) and Global Internship (GIP) Programmes.

As an applied and enterprise university, MSU offers programmes of study at postgraduate, undergraduate and foundation levels, through connected pathways for students from all walks of life and personal backgrounds.

Besides that, as one of Malaysia's top universities, MSU gives priority to quality education and the importance of creative teaching methodologies towards producing quality graduates. Besides incorporating international exposure in the students learning experience, extensive industrial training components and personal enrichment competencies are also blended into the programme of study to ensure the graduates employability.

The programmes that the university offer meet the stringent standards set by local and international bodies. MSU’s award-winning homegrown programmes are among the best in the region.

These programmes are meticulously crafted to enhance the graduates’ potential. The university aspires to provide education that will enhance employability of its graduates and at the same time enrich the students learning experience with ethical and moral values.

MSU was also accorded "Excellent Status University" twice on the national universityrating system SETARA by the ministry and The Most Entrepreneurial Private University 2016.
