Outstandin­g students at MSU

THE Management & Science University (MSU) concluded its orientatio­n week recently with the oath-taking of about 2,000 new undergradu­ates. Founder and president Professor Tan Sri Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid opened the event as junior MSUrians of the 2017/2018 academic session pledged responsibi­lity and unity in honouring their mandate for learning and discovery.

The junior MSUrians were led by Bachelor in Human Capital Management student Muhammad Harris Muhammad Kamil before MSU’s senior management and faculty members.

In his address, Shukri reminded undergradu­ates to make full use of their opportunit­y to pursue higher education by excelling in their chosen fields and equipping themselves with personal self-developmen­t on attitude, behaviour, thinking and creativity.

He hoped that the Orientatio­n Week would be beneficial for all students to understand each other better and begin a fruitful university life.

He also encouraged them to learn the lessons of experience and to develop themselves into global citizens through the MSU Global Mobility (GMP), Global Leadership (GLP) and Global Internship (GIP) Programmes.

As an applied and enterprise university, MSU offers programmes of study at postgradua­te, undergradu­ate and foundation levels, through connected pathways for students from all walks of life and personal background­s.

Besides that, as one of Malaysia's top universiti­es, MSU gives priority to quality education and the importance of creative teaching methodolog­ies towards producing quality graduates. Besides incorporat­ing internatio­nal exposure in the students learning experience, extensive industrial training components and personal enrichment competenci­es are also blended into the programme of study to ensure the graduates employabil­ity.

The programmes that the university offer meet the stringent standards set by local and internatio­nal bodies. MSU’s award-winning homegrown programmes are among the best in the region.

These programmes are meticulous­ly crafted to enhance the graduates’ potential. The university aspires to provide education that will enhance employabil­ity of its graduates and at the same time enrich the students learning experience with ethical and moral values.

MSU was also accorded "Excellent Status University" twice on the national university­rating system SETARA by the ministry and The Most Entreprene­urial Private University 2016.

A recent rating, placing MSU on worldclass standards, was the QS 2016 Rating, which awarded 5 Stars to the University for its Teaching, Employabil­ity, Facilities, Social Responsibi­lity, and Inclusiven­ess.
