Prisoner gets six months’ jail for cursing

KUALA LUMPUR: After cursing and threatening a magistrate, a prisoner serving time for injuring an individual was slapped an additional six months’ jail by the Magistrate’s Court here yesterday,

Magistrate Mahyudin Mohmad Som imposed the punishment on S. Thaneskumar, 23, after the accused pleaded guilty.

Thaneskumar was charged with intimidating Magistrate Adira Adnan, 33, saying that he would kill the latter and mouthed foul language during proceedings at Magistrate’s Court 1, Jalan Duta here between 2pm and 3 pm on May 15.

The court ordered the jail sentence to run from the date of his arrest on July 7. Bernama
