Pris­oner gets six months’ jail for curs­ing

KUALA LUMPUR: Af­ter curs­ing and threat­en­ing a mag­is­trate, a pris­oner serv­ing time for in­jur­ing an in­di­vid­ual was slapped an ad­di­tional six months’ jail by the Mag­is­trate’s Court here yes­ter­day,

Mag­is­trate Mahyudin Mohmad Som im­posed the pun­ish­ment on S. Thanesku­mar, 23, af­ter the ac­cused pleaded guilty.

Thanesku­mar was charged with in­tim­i­dat­ing Mag­is­trate Adira Ad­nan, 33, say­ing that he would kill the lat­ter and mouthed foul lan­guage dur­ing pro­ceed­ings at Mag­is­trate’s Court 1, Jalan Duta here be­tween 2pm and 3 pm on May 15.

The court or­dered the jail sen­tence to run from the date of his ar­rest on July 7. Ber­nama
