Net­flix to stream 5 lo­cal ti­tles

MALAYSIANS can now en­joy their favourite lo­cal films and se­ries from Primeworks Stu­dios Sdn Bhd by stream­ing them on Net­flix.

Net­flix sub­scribers will be able to start stream­ing the first roll-out — the fea­ture film Se­joli: Misi Men­can­tas Cinta (Mis­sion: De­stroy Love), star­ring Maya Karin and Bront Palarae.

This will be fol­lowed by the highly-rated Chi­nese drama se­ries, Per­sona on Aug 14, while Malay fea­ture films KL Zombi and Rem­bat and pop­u­lar drama se­ries Hati Perem­puan will be avail­able from Aug 21.

This part­ner­ship be­tween Net­flix, the world’s lead­ing stream­ing ser­vice, and Primeworks Stu­dios helps Malaysians dis­cover the best of lo­cal sto­ry­telling through tele­vi­sion se­ries and fea­ture films.

With the KL 2017 Sea Games and 60th Merdeka cel­e­bra­tions com­ing up, it is a great time to cel­e­brate Malaysia’s suc­cess on the in­ter­na­tional plat­form.

Se­joli: Misi Men­can­tas Cinta, di­rected by Os­man Ali, also stars Remy Ishak and Izara Aishah, and tells the story of Jo and Gina who stop at noth­ing to pre­vent their for­mer lovers from mar­ry­ing each other.

KL Zombi, di­rected by MJ Woo, stars Zizan Razak, Siti Saleha and Faezah Elai, is about an un­likely group of sur­vivors bat­tling zom­bies out­break in the Klang Val­ley.

Rem­bat di­rected by Shamyl Othman, stars Sha­heizy Sam and Aniu.

This ad­ven­ture com­edy flick is about two men on the run from loan sharks who team up to save ev­ery­thing they love.
