BAC signs US$134m deal with LUKOIL

KUALA LUMPUR: Bumi Armada Bhd unit, Bumi Armada Caspian L LC( BAC),h assigned a supplement­ary agreement with L UK OIL Nizhnevolz­h sknef tL LC( L UK OIL) worth US$134 million (RM575.6 million) for additional engineerin­g, procuremen­t, constructi­on and installati­ons (EPCI).

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia yesterday, the offshore oilfield services provider said the added scope would involve BAC’s marine spread laying subsea pipelines and undertakin­g posttrench­ing and back-filling works on sections of the Filanovsky field in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea.

“The additional scope under the contract involves the EPCI of about 20km of pipelines in the Filanovsky field, involving the Armada Installer and Armada Constructo­r vessels,” it said.

Bumi Armada executive director and chief executive officer Leon Harland said the contract highlighte­d its strong working relationsh­ip with its client.
