FGV’s CEO faces do­mes­tic in­quiry to­day

KUALA LUMPUR: Em­bat­tled Felda Global Ven­tures Hold­ings Bhd (FGV) pres­i­dent and chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer Datuk Zakaria Ar­shad will face a do­mes­tic in­quiry to­day.

Zakaria will meet the three-mem­ber panel at FGV’s head­quar­ters here at 9am to an­swer a show-cause let­ter re­lated to an out­stand­ing debt owed by Dubai-based Safi­tex Trad­ing LLC to FGV’s sub­sidiary, De­lima Oil Prod­ucts Sdn Bhd.

“I hope I will be ab­solved of any wrong­do­ing. I am con­fi­dent that the truth will be on my side,” Zakaria told the New Straits Times.

Zakaria and FGV chief fi­nan­cial of­fi­cer Ah­mad Ti­fli Mohd Talha, FGV Trad­ing Sdn Bhd chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer Ah­mad Sal­man Omar and De­lima Oil Prod­ucts se­nior gen­eral man­ager Ka­marza­man Abd Karim have been di­rected to take forced leave since June.
