FGV’s CEO faces domestic inquiry today
KUALA LUMPUR: Embattled Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd (FGV) president and chief executive officer Datuk Zakaria Arshad will face a domestic inquiry today.
Zakaria will meet the three-member panel at FGV’s headquarters here at 9am to answer a show-cause letter related to an outstanding debt owed by Dubai-based Safitex Trading LLC to FGV’s subsidiary, Delima Oil Products Sdn Bhd.
“I hope I will be absolved of any wrongdoing. I am confident that the truth will be on my side,” Zakaria told the New Straits Times.
Zakaria and FGV chief financial officer Ahmad Tifli Mohd Talha, FGV Trading Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Ahmad Salman Omar and Delima Oil Products senior general manager Kamarzaman Abd Karim have been directed to take forced leave since June.
