TV host Jihan confirms baby conceived in France
“LADIES and gentlemen, please give a round of applause for Jihan Muse, who is four months’ pregnant,” said co-host Nabil Ahmad to the live studio audience at the recording of Astro talkshow MeleTOP recently.
The news was received with a resounding cheer from the floor.
Jihan, 34, gave a sheepish smile as she confirmed the news.
The host, actress and comedienne was filling in for co-host for Noor Neelofa Mohd Noor, who is in the United States.
Jihan married actor Ungku Hariz, 32, last year after nine years of courtship. They are expecting their first child.
Blushing with excitement, Jihan, whose full name is Nur Jihan Musa, said: “Thank you everyone. But before that I’d like to apologise to you, Nabil, for having to cancel at the last minute on jobs that required us to work together.
“Many thought I cancelled on purpose, but I had to take care of my health as I had terrible morning sickness. But now that I’m in my second trimester, I feel better and am ready to get back to work,” she said, before adding that her baby was conceived in France.
“I was pregnant while we were filming Biniku Ninja (Astro Oasis’ TV drama series) in France, but I didn’t know it at the time.”
Earlier, fans speculated that Jihan was expecting since she appeared to be a “little round” in a parody music video of Datuk Seri Vida’s hit single I Am Me , released on July 19 for MeleTOP.
