NAZA KIA SET TO RECAPTURE SABAH, SARAWAK MARKETS
Besides introducing new models, group also plans to expand 3S outlet network
NAZA Kia Malaysia Sdn Bhd, the country’s official distributor of Kia Motors vehicles, is embarking on an aggressive campaign to improve its position and recapture the automotive market in Sabah and Sarawak.
Apart from introducing two new models into the Sabah and Sarawak market soon, Naza Kia also plans to expand the company’s 3S (sales, service and spare parts) network in Sarawak apart from investing RM7 million in its expansion programme in Sabah.
Its head of company Nazman SHC Yusof said Sabah and Sarawak are a growing market with great prospects for Naza to explore.
“Sabah and Sarawak were a big market for us previously but there were not enough products to sustain the momentum.
“All this will change with out aggressive expansion programme, which started about four months ago.
“Our network expansion programme, which includes opening more 3S outlets in Sibu and Bintulu as well as in Sandakan, will be finalised by year-end.
“The setting up of the new 3S outlets are investments from big local players in the state, which is a testimony to the fact that Kia Motors generates great interest among investors,” Nazman said at the launch of the fourth-generation Kia Rio here yesterday.
Nazman, however, was tightlipped on the new models expected to be unveiled by year-end.
Naza Kia, he said, is targeting to sell 5,100 units of vehicles this year, of which between 10 per cent and 15 per cent sales will come from the markets in Sabah and Sarawak.
On after-sales services, Nazman said Naza Kia had introduced the Kia Value 5 programme to raise confidence among customers in its products in November last year.
He also said Naza Kia is expected to roll out its 360 Customer Relationship Management programme, which will enable the company to interact with its customers digitally next year.
