SuperStar Libra will be deployed from KL via Port Klang and Penang as well as Phuket starting Sept 3
KUALA LUMPUR
STAR Cruises’ newly introduced multiple home ports and fly-cruise options from three wellconnected key cities offers guests in Southeast Asia more flexibility and ease of access to a cruise holiday.
Starting September 3, the SuperStar Libra will be deployed from home ports in Kuala Lumpur via Port Klang and Penang in Malaysia, as well as in Phuket, Thailand, with two cruises per week, including the threenight Kuala Lumpur (via Port Klang)/Phuket/Penang cruise) or the four-night Kuala Lumpur (via Port Klang)/Langkawi/ Phuket/Penang cruise).
“We are extremely delighted with SuperStar Libra’s new deployment in Kuala Lumpur, together with Penang and Phuket,” said Star Cruises president Ang Moo Lim.
“Star Cruises is optimistic this will grow its source markets in Southeast Asia, allowing guests more access to multiple home ports and concurrently developing and stimulating the growth of the cruise tourism sector across borders through fly-cruise options.

With Penang previously as the only homeport for SuperStar Libra in Malaysia, domestic travellers nationwide and international passengers can now enjoy more options to either embark from the historically rich culture city of Penang, or the modern bustling city of Kuala Lumpur via its new main home port in Port Klang.
Kuala Lumpur is the key gateway to Malaysia and also the Southeast Asian region with an expected targeted inbound tourism of over 30 million for this year.
