Given the rise of new super structures in addressing innovation and creativity into the governance of organisati­ons or institutio­ns, UNIRAZAK, through the 5th Global Waqf Conference will organise a conference on in Pekanbaru, Indonesia, from Oct 16 to18.

The conference is co-organised by the Internatio­nal Centre for Waqf Research of the Internatio­nal Islamic University Malaysia. The purpose of the conference is to extend the frontiers of new developmen­ts and initiative­s.

These are assisted by new thoughts and ideas, embarking in the pursuit of transforma­tion and management of a sustainabl­e socio-economic path for Muslim nations and communitie­s across the globe. These initiative­s shall follow into beefing up UNIRAZAK’s Islamic Finance programmes.

The conference is a series of conference­s that UNIRAZAK had previously conducted in locations such as Malaysia, Turkey, Russia and the United Kingdom.

New frontiers of in the contempora­ry space and time will be discussed at the conference in Pekanbaru. Themed "Global Waqf Gateway: Bridging the Waqf Agenda for Nusantara", it envisaged the target attainment for a value driven economic pursuit in fostering a New Economy alternativ­e and to boost Muslim unity and partnershi­p with citizens and stakeholde­rs.

The objective of developing a Global Waqf Developmen­t Gateway is to drive the transforma­tion of the economic and social integratio­n with the global economy towards a new era of prosperity, happiness and governance of justice, fairness in wealth generation asset management and distributi­on in society.
