Najib and delegation arrive in Washington at the Joint Base Andrews in Maryland.

Najib, his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, and delegation will meet Malaysian students and diaspora over dinner at the Malaysian embassy.

SEPT 12

Najib meets US President Donald Trump at the White House in the morning.

This will be followed by an expanded delegation meeting with cabinet members and senior advisers of the Trump administra­tion, including VicePresid­ent Mike Pence, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Defence Secretary James Mattis, Chief of Staff General John Kelly, national security adviser LtGeneral H.R. McMaster, and senior adviser Jared Kushner.

Both sides will take stock of bilateral cooperatio­n and explore means to enhance bilateral relations.

Both leaders are expected to issue a joint statement.

Another key event is a reception and dinner at St Regis Hotel, to be jointly hosted by US-Asean Business Council (USABC) and US Chamber of Commerce.

Najib will meet business leaders and deliver a speech.

Prior to the reception, Internatio­nal Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed will hold a roundtable discussion with business leaders, as well as top officials of USABC and Chamber of Commerce at the same venue.

A memorandum of understand­ing between Malaysia Airlines Bhd and Boeing Aircraft Corporatio­n is expected to be signed.

SEPT 13

Najib to attend a luncheon hosted by the Center for Strategic and Internatio­nal Studies, where he will deliver a speech as part of the Banyan Tree Leadership Forum talk series.

In the afternoon, he will meet the chairman and members of the US Senate Committee on Foreign Relations at the Capitol Building.

Najib and the committee members will discuss foreign policy, regional and global security issues.
