Permaisuri Johor shares observations of Almarhum Sultan Abdul Halim’s last days as Yang di-Pertuan Agong

Born in Ipoh but brought up and educated in Alor Star, as an ex-collegian of Sultan Abdul Hamid, always felt very proud of the late DYMM Sultan and late Sultanah Bahiyah.

In Johor, we have full respect and love for His Majesty the Sultan of Johor, Her Majesty the Sultanah of Johor and the royal family.

As someone with roots in both Kedah and Penang, I had the privilege of seeing both Tuanku Sultan and Tuanku Bahiyah as a child. The poem penned by Her Majesty Permaisuri Johor was beautiful. It gave an insight into a disciplined ruler who carried out his duties silently and with dignity. Menjunjung kasih, Tuanku Permaisuri.
