Actress Fathia denies being woman dancing sexily in video

-

LAST SUNDAY night, actress Fathia Latiff, 30, took to Instagram to refute lies about her.

Although the said controversy involved a video of a woman resembling her dressed in sexy attire and dancing sexily, and another issue about being dropped from a drama project, she was in tears, asking certain quarters to stop spreading lies about her removing her hijab whenever she went out.

In the 1-minute-and-44-second live video, she said that just because her hair was sometimes seen from underneath her hijab, people should not spread lies about her removing the headscarf.

“I’m still learning about Islam, I’m still learning about God, and I am being honest to you guys, and don’t fitnah (tell lies about) me. It’s not right to fitnah me,” she said.

She said she was being honest, and hoped that fans would stop accusing her.

She asked them to pray for her instead and to keep on supporting her in her efforts to become a better person.

She and another young actress, Natasha Elyzza, were accused of being the persons in a video that surfaced last week of a woman dancing provocatively in sexy attire.

Natasha denied that the other individual was Fathia.

Even before the controversy about video, found on the mobile application Bigo Live, had died down, Fathia received another blow when she was sacked from the TV series La Luna.

Her sacking was due to her poor commitment to the project, which was produced by TenView Sdn Bhd.

She also posted a message on her Instagram that read, “I’m only human”, which received more than 18,000 likes.

She, however, disabled the comment section for the post. By Tahir Alhamzah
