AmBank is Best FX Bank for 6th time

KUALA LUMPUR: AmBank Group has clinched the Best FX (foreign exchange) Bank for Corporates and Financial Institutio­ns for the sixth consecutiv­e year at the 11th Annual Alpha Southeast Asia Best Financial Institutio­n Awards and Seventh Corporate Awards 2017 held in Singapore recently.

“It is truly gratifying to be recognised for the positive role that we play in the capital markets as well as our contributi­ons to its developmen­t.

“We are very proud of these achievemen­ts and will continue in our commitment to provide innovative financial solutions for the benefit of our clients,” said group chief executive officer Datuk Sulaiman Mohd Tahir in a statement yesterday.

Group treasury and markets division treasurer Jamzidi Khalid said foreign exchange remains a key focus area and this is in line with the group’s aspiration to grow flow-based income.

The Annual Alpha Southeast Asia Best Financial Institutio­n Awards was organised by Alpha Southeast Asia, an institutio­nal investment magazine focused on Southeast Asia.

The awards recognise the most outstandin­g players in the areas of debt, equity, foreign exchange, investment banking, brokerage, Islamic finance, wealth management, trade finance and cash management business in Southeast Asia.
