FRESH from her collaboration with fellow Indonesian crooner Marcell Siahaan for their single, Jadi Milikku, actress-turnedsinger Raline Shah yearns to work with Malaysian singers too.

And the two names that top her list are none other than music legends Datuk Sheila Majid, and Datuk Siti Nurhaliza, who have made it big in Indonesia.

“I’m a fan of these two singers, so it would be an honour if I get to work with them one day,” said Raline.

She said this after Marcell’s solo concert at Plenary Hall KLCC in Kuala Lumpur last weekend, where together, they performed Jadi Milikku.

On her performance with Marcell, she admitted to having some jitters right before joining Marcell on stage.

“Honestly, Jadi Milikku has a high note in it, making it a challenging tune to sing. Never mind that it was my first-ever live performance with him.

“Thankfully, I managed to overcome the nerves and the audience was supportive.

“Above all, I feel honoured to be part of his concert,” she said.

A fan of Marcell, Raline told reporters how the idea of a duet with him first come about.

“It’s kind of funny. I met him one day and jokingly teased him about wanting to have him as a duet partner for a song in the future. He agreed.

“Panicked, I started taking singing lessons to improve my vocals, and now here we are,” she said.

Meanwhile, in another development, the Surga Yang Tak Dirindukan actress would be in town till the end of this year, to film the sequel of action comedy, Polis Evo 2.

Raline plays the heroine alongside its main cast, Zizan Razak and Shaheizy Sam.
