‘NOTHING IMPROPER ABOUT KISSING SCENE’

Does actress Janna Nick blame her best friend for uploading the controversial ‘kissing scene’ video? SYAHIRAH MOKHTAZAR finds out more

-

IF you are wondering who was responsible for sharing an InstaStory of an alleged “kissing scene” between actress Janna Nick and actor Fattah Amin in the upcoming drama Coffee Prince ,it is Janna’s good friend, actress Farah Mendoza.

While Farah’s action has stirred up a controversy, riling up some quarters, Janna said she did not blame the former for what she did.

“I do not think she intended to jeopardise my image. She realised her mistake and has apologised to me. There are no hard feelings between us.

“When I found out that she had uploaded the video, I did not ask her to delete it as I did not find anything inappropriate about it,” Janna, 22, said at the launch of TV3’s new drama series, Dia ,at One Utama Shopping Centre in Petaling Jaya.

Reflecting on the “kissing” drama, Janna said: “The scene was not meant to evoke any romantic emotion, it was intended to be a comical scene.

“I know my limits and when to say no. Should I feel that it was inappropriate for me to act out that particular scene with Fattah Amin, I would not have done so.

“I have acted in other dramas that required me to have body contact with my co-stars, whereas in this scene with Fattah, there was none.

“At the end of the day, as celebrities, we are always under public scrutiny. So, whatever we do, people will always find something to criticise.”

In Dia, Janna plays Aira, alongside Indonesian singer-actor Irwansyah, Izara Aishah, Sandrinna Michelle and Adi Putra.

The story centres on a love triangle between Aira, Adit (Irwansyah) and Emelda (Izara).

The series will premiere on TV3 on Oct 14, with episodes airing every Friday to Sunday at 9pm.
