Meet Sung Hoon in KL on Oct 28

HE charmed K-drama fans through his hand­some por­tray­als in the drama se­ries My Se­cret Ro­mance, New Tales of Gisaeng, Oh My Venus and Five Enough.

Now, Malaysian fans of South Korean ac­tor Sung Hoon will get a chance to meet him in per­son at his fan meet on Oct 28 at Ple­nary Hall, Kuala Lumpur Con­ven­tion Cen­tre.

Dubbed “Korea Drama Night With Sung Hoon”, the 7pm event will see the ac­tor in­ter­act with fans and share his love for EDM as he per­forms as a dee­jay.

To show the 34-year-old’s ap­pre­ci­a­tion for his fans, there will be a Hi-Touch ses­sion, where fans line up, each giv­ing him a high­five. That’s the clos­est to him you can get!

Event or­gan­iser Korea Tourism Or­gan­i­sa­tion (KTO) is giv­ing away 1,200 free en­try passes for the fan meet.

Five-mem­ber K-Pop group The King will be open­ing the fan meet with their song per­for­mance.

The fan meet is part of the Korean Cul­ture Fes­ti­val, or­gan­ised by the Em­bassy of the Re­pub­lic of Korea in Malaysia.

Another event sched­uled is the Korean Film Fes­ti­val, a treat for Korean film fans as tick­ets to the screen­ings are free.

This year’s se­lec­tion com­prises The Sus­pect (star­ring global star Gong Yoo), The Fa­tal En­counter, My Love My Bride, A Hard Day and My Bril­liant Life.

The movies are screened at GSC Pavil­ion KL for three days be­gin­ning Oct 26.

Re­demp­tion of free tick­ets be­gins Oct 19 on a first-come-first­serve ba­sis while tick­ets last.

All you have to do is to present a print­out or a screen­shot of any pho­tos or ar­ti­cles re­lated to this fes­ti­val, in any pub­li­ca­tion or web­site, to any tick­et­ing counter at GSC Pavil­ion KL.

The em­bassy is also hold­ing a by­in­vi­ta­tion-only Korean mu­si­cal con­cert on Oct 25, a Korean speech con­test on Nov 4 and a Korean ed­u­ca­tion fair on Nov 18 and 19.

The Korean Cul­ture Fes­ti­val aims to pro­mote Korean cul­ture and South Korea as the main tourist des­ti­na­tion among Malaysians.
