KUALA LUMPUR: Fans of Malaysia’s top singer Datuk Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin have been waxing lyrical over the news that the singing sensation is four months’ pregnant.

Commenting on the NST Online Facebook post of the article announcing her pregnancy, Hemayh Mala Ariasamy stood up for Siti against haters who bashed her before.

“To those who talk about her, time always show(s) that patience is important and it’s all in the hands of God when to give. You are not the Creator. Congrats Datuk Siti,” she said.

Bavindh Dhaivendiron said Siti was a low-profile woman and he had much respect for her.

“As a non-Malay, I just highly regard her as the most respected celebrity. If all celebrities were as great as her, God would give the best in life.

“Tahniah (congratulations) Datuk Siti and husband. The alltime greatest singer the country has ever produced. Such a lowprofile woman.”

Fairuz Fadzilah Zaini said she was happy to hear the news.

“Imagine how long Siti waited for this (to happen), and at the end, Allah granted her prayers. Allah knows the right time a wife can be a mother. Your patience inspires me to wait for my turn,” she said.

Mravi Pavetran said this was great news to start Deepavali celebrations.

“Thank God. We will pray for good health (for) you and your baby. Great news for our Deepavali celebration,” he said.

Siti held a press conference late on Friday night to announce the good news, explaining that the reason she had been “missing” for the past four months was due to the pregnancy.

The NST Online post of the article garnered more than 4,600 likes and reactions within 12 hours of being posted, with a video clip on the press conference viewed more than 11,000 times.
