DRB-Hicom, ‘BH’ efforts bearing fruit
SHAH ALAM: The efforts of Berita Harian (BH) and DRB-Hicom to host high-impact education sessions show that corporations are concerned about community development.
The programmes, which support the aspirations of the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2013-2025 to ensure the quality of education, are a platform to produce future leaders.
Education Ministry’s curriculum development division director, Sazali Ahmad, said the seminars organised by the two bodies would reflect positively on the future of students, who would become leaders and drive the development of any organisation to a higher level.
“They will hold positions in public and private services, therefore they should take advantage of this opportunity as part of their final preparations before sitting the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia examination.
“Congratulations BH for continuing to set up platforms to strengthen students’ preparations for this most important of school examinations,” he said when opening the DRBHicom-BH 2017 SPM seminar here.
Present were DRB-Hicom education director Datuk Mohamed Hazlan Mohamed Hussain and human capital chief Muhammad Rizal Md Zain, as well as BH executive editor (news, feature, and digital) Datuk Ahmad Zaini Kamaruzzaman.
Hazlan said such programmes exposed students to thinking techniques, and taught them different ways of processing information and solving challenging problems, especially in the world of digital technology.
He hoped that the latest learning techniques delivered at the inaugural seminar would help participants get good results in their SPM next month.
