MEDIA PRIMA BHD ONE OF 'BEST COMPANIES TO WORK FOR'
‘HR Asia’ recognition reaffirms company’s belief that employees are the best asset
MEDIA Prima Bhd (MPB), Malaysia’s leading fully-integrated media group, on Friday was recognised as one of the “Best Companies to Work for” by HR Asia, after being ranked by employees across the country.
It emerged as one of 45 companies recognised with the “HR Asia Best Companies to Work For” award at a ceremony held here.
Media Prima human resources group general manager Nor Arzlin Redzwuan said the recognition reaffirmed Media Prima’s belief that employees were the greatest asset to a company as they were the ones to ensure a firm’s success.
“This honour is dedicated to our leadership team and everyone at Media Prima, especially my human resources team.
“This award will spur the team to forge ahead with innovative policies and engaging programmes for the benefit of all employees at Media Prima,” Nor Arzlin said.
HR Asia is Asia’s most authoritative publications for senior human resources professionals and the awards cover 12 markets in the region.
A total of 320 companies from various industries had submitted their entries for this year’s award, which follows a long and stringent audit process that focused on employee engagement, work culture and development opportunities.
The judging process was conducted by an independent panel of industry experts, academics, journalists and government representatives.
This is the fifth installation of the awards.
“This is one of the most structured and extensive survey on employee engagement and workplace practices in this region.
“Through this survey, HR Asia has discovered that many of these companies — local and international — have workplace practices that are on a par with the best in the world,” said Datuk William Ng, group publisher and editor-in-chief of Business Media International, the publisher of HR Asia.
The survey gathers employees’ feedback along with management comments and presentations.
The 45 winners were noted as exemplary for creating a workplace environment that pushes beyond traditional employee engagement.
In total, 9,360 employees participated in the survey.
Most of the employees from the winning companies report that they enjoy a high level of job satisfaction by being able to meet customer expectations.
