‘Project a boon to Seremban community’

-

SEREMBAN: The Kuala LumpurSingapore High Speed Rail (HSR) project will reduce travel time between Seremban and Kuala Lumpur to only 20 minutes compared with the current one hour and 30 minutes spent on the road.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said the project would also trim down commute time to Singapore, which would be only an hour away, when the facility was opened to the public in 2026.

“It will not only be convenient for people living here to travel to Kuala Lumpur, but also for those working in Singapore. The journey will only take about an hour to Singapore from Seremban.”

To further ease accessibility, Mohamad said a proposal to set up a direct route to HSR Seremban station via the Kajang-Seremban Highway and North-South Expressway had been agreed upon.

“The station will serve as a transit-oriented development, which will offer many facilities to the public. We expect the station to be one of the busiest stations, especially as it is located in the Malaysian Vision Valley development area.

“The station is also close to Kuala Lumpur International Airport. So, the HSR project will definitely transform the area into an economic centre for the state, with more public transportation upgrades.

“Also, new developments can be explored in the area, which will benefit the people.”
