Eco World makes aggressive push with simultaneous launch of 5 new projects
ECO World Development Group Bhd’s recent simultaneous launch of five new projects nationwide was daring, unique and a marketing coup of sorts.
The five property projects launched on September 30 were Eco Horizon in Bandar Cassia, Penang; Eco Forest and Eco Business Park V in the Klang Valley; Dremien@Eco Ardence township in Shah Alam and Whitten @ Eco Majestic City in Semenyih.
“On that weekend, we made a blast and maximised the brand value of Eco World. When we plan for something, we have to do it well. We give our best service,” said Eco World chairman Tan Sri Liew Kee Sin in an interview.
He credited Eco World’s dedicated employees for the successful event and provided the same standard of service at different locations in one day.
“It’s all our staff. We don’t engage agents because it’s a test of our strength and unity,” said Liew at the Eco Horizon show gallery in Batu Kawan, Penang, on that day.
During the nationward wide launch, bank officers and lawyers were also on hand to assist house buyers in terms of housing loans and sale and purchase agreements.
Liew likened the simultaneous launch to national shopping sprees in London and China, where consumers look forward to Black Friday and Singles Day when they are spoilt for choice.
“At Eco World, we honour our brand value. We focus on quality control and assurance. We aim for minimal complaints. We promise we will deliver to the satisfaction. That’s how we build the Eco World’s brand value.
“If we’re just selling houses, there’s no way Eco World can achieve RM18 billion sales in four years,” he said, adding that the company planned to publish a book to share Eco World’s success story and achievements.
“Eco World is made up of many people who have (given) and continue to give. It’s not a one-man company. Everyone contributes and every little bit counts.”
The former banker-turnedproperty magnate said he could have retired at 55, but felt there was still more to be done.
“I had a humble beginning. My mother was a rubber tapper and my father, a lorry driver. My father told me despite being a poor man we must have a purpose in life.
“I am grateful that today, at 59 years, I can still contribute and at Eco World, we’re fortunate to have a dedicated and enthusiastic team,” said Liew, who stays in shape despite his hectic schedule.
“I do yoga every morning, even when I’m on a flight. All I need is just a small little corner inside the plane,” he said. “The yoga stretching keeps my muscles toned and it relaxes my mind.”
