Petronas Dagangan eyes bigger bite of food segment
Petronas Dagangan eyes 25pc sales growth through more Mornings@Mesra options
PETRONAS Dagangan Bhd, the domestic marketing arm of national oil company Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas), aims to achieve more than 25 per cent year-on-year sales growth in its food segment.
Petronas Dagangan retail business division marketing department head Abang Jimmy Abang Mordian said this would be driven by a wider selection of breakfast combos offered through Mornings@Mesra options at more than 450 Petronas stations nationwide.
“We launched the first phase of Mornings@Mesra in March and received an overwhelming response.
“We aim to expand our breakfast combos, which comes with local delicacies and a can of Milo or Nescafe, priced at RM5,” he said at the launch of Mornings@Mesra’s second phase in Seri Kembangan yesterday.
He said the rising number of participating outlets also increased the number of food vendors, who mainly comprised small entrepreneurs from suburban areas and small towns.
“We can’t really tell how many vendors we have currently as they vary from station to station.
“What is important is that this creates an avenue for them to increase their income.”
He said as part of the promotion, Petronas Dagangan had tied up with Lazada Malaysia Bhd and Digi.com Bhd to extend greater value-add to its customers.
“Between now and November 15, customers who buy five Mornings@Mesra breakfast combo sets will receive a Lazada discount voucher worth RM15.”
He said for a month beginning November 15, Digi customers would be entitled to buy the breakfast combo pack for 99 sen by downloading the “superdeal” from the MyDigi app. The offer was limited to one voucher per user, he said.
“To ensure the offer reaches a wider audience, Petronas Dagangan will also roll out complimentary breakfast giveaways at selected regions outside the Klang Valley,” he added.
