THE new Razer Core V2 laptop is capable of delivering a desktop-class gaming experience regardless of where you are. All that it takes is a solitary Thunderbolt 3 connection and you are good to go.

The Razer Core V2 carries the distinction of sporting the first dual Thunderbolt 3 internal controller design in the world, where it has separate lanes for both graphics and connected devices in order to deliver a degree of fluid gameplay, no matter how thick the onscreen action gets. This is no ordinary external graphics enclosure, as it is well-equipped with a quartet of USB 3.0 ports as well as Gigabit Ethernet in order to further fuel the expansion for other peripherals. It has a chassis that is milled from a block of durable raw aluminium with CNC precision, resulting in an incredibly rigid and compact form factor.

Underneath the hood, a 500W power supply delivers the amount of juice required, while extra cooling fans have been installed to make it function with the graphics card in order to dispense of heat quickly for an optimal performance at all times.

The redesigned internal layout has enough room to cater for an expanded range of taller graphics cards, including the popular NVIDIA GeForce 10 series and AMD Radeon 500 series with XConnect technology.

For those who need to up the ante further in professional level use, the Razer Core V2 can hook up to an external high-end desktop NVIDIA Quadro GPU, resulting in enough processing muscle to deliver high-performance, professional graphics at all times.

It takes mere seconds to physically install the GPUs with the Razer Core V2, making this US$499 (RM2,112) solution a future-proof one when it comes to laptops.
