Talking ai speaker

-

THE Septaer from Taechyon is a truly unique digital device; it boasts a wraparound display alongside a 360-degree camera that is located at the top and can be best described as a beautiful smart omni-display speaker.

With a full wraparound 360-degree display as well as the camera, the Taechyon Septaer is an eye-catching centrepiece regardless where it is placed. Thanks to the special omni-directional display, anyone can view it from any side, while high-end speakers will enable users to control room ambience and environmental lighting to suit the user’s current mood.

The Septaer is said to offer existing smart speakers AI capabilities such as Alexa, Google Home or Cortana, in addition to providing Septaer-to-Septaer full room video conferencing and entertainment, not to mention the sharing of user-created interactive characters and content.

This is an attempt to make a move away from the TV or smartphone screen among family members when at home, as users will instead be facing one another when interacting over the Septaer. The possibilities of potential interaction include playing modern games via the Septaer as it remains as the living room’s centrepiece, bringing a digital touch to the idea of traditional board games.

Even when there is no active use of the Septaer, it can fulfill other functions such as turning into a virtually maintenance-free fish tank, a fireplace, a romantic lava lamp, showing off serene scenes of the beach, the rainforest, or even a starry night. All it takes is a voice command to wake it up from its sleep mode, where the user can then take advantage of standard voice-based home utility, security, and entertainment functions.

There is no word on how much the Septaer from Taechyon will cost, but it is being prepared for a release by the time summer 2018 rolls around.
