THE Studio Stick is touted to be the first portable recording studio for smartphones in the world. The device enables smartphone users to record high quality songs or audio tracks regardless of where they are, and saving plenty of money in the process.

There will no longer be any more need to rent a studio to perform a recording (where you pay by the hour), as the Studio Stick gets the job done virtually anywhere. Artistes frequently have spontaneous creative sessions where they want to capture the moment as and when inspiration flows in. Studio Stick thus is a useful tool as the recording process becomes a whole lot more efficient.

The Studio Stick is an attempt to democratise the studio recording experience so that artists will always have access to a professional recording studio without having to break the bank. It is relatively small to bring around, stashed away in a 20-inch container which can open up and expand to an adjustable height. When opened and expanded, the Studio Stick reveals a microphone, pop filter, microphone stand, reflective filter, and phone holder; it also works in tandem with the Studio Stick mobile app so that artistes can obtain a high quality recording no matter where they are.

Using the Studio Stick app, artistes are able to record, mix, and master songs on the spot, with the option to sell or purchase beats directly from other users through the app’s marketplace. Once the songs are completed, these tunes can be distributed to major online retailers including iTunes, Google Play, and Spotify, among others.

The Studio Stick retails for US$274 as a pre-order special. 360-degree panoramic video, a burst mode that captures up to 15 images in sequence, and a 10-second delay timer. There is no need to be schooled in drone flying, since the C-me Folding Pocket Flying Social Camera features an innovative single-touch control interface which takes mere minutes to master.

Each purchase is accompanied by a free C-me app that offers connectivity to iOS and Androidpowered handsets. The design of the C-me is unique as its arms and propeller blades are tucked into the camera body whenever it is not flying for easy stowage, and the folding body has a two-fold function: to add strength to the overall structure while preventing any catching or snagging from occurring so that the unit can fly properly.

You do not have to worry about the US$219.99 C-me getting lost since it has the Find Me function that will locate you and focus on you, while the Return to Me function will help it make its way back to you should battery life drop to 10 per cent or less.
